Trust

One of my favorite subjects is TRUST.  It has become more important in my life as the years pass.  So many things in our society do not produce trust and lasting satisfaction, but there is ONEwho can be trusted and will satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts.  That person is JESUS CHRIST.

The Bible says, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.” This verse written by King David allows us to know that to trust the LORD is better than putting confidence in those around you. As we put our trust in the LORD, his kindness will be revealed in our lives.  Let me encourage you to trust in the LORD.

C.S. Lewis wrote this about trusting the LORD, “To trust Him means, of course, trying to do all that He says. There would be no sense in saying you trusted a person if you would not take his advice.” The insight from this quote is very clear, the more that we are willing to take advice from the LORD the more our TRUST will grow towards HIM. In fact the proof of TRUST is found in taking the advice of the WORD, and living by the core values that the WORD maps out.

Here are some thoughts by E.M. Bounds on the subject of TRUST. May they be a blessing to your day, and may I encourage you today to TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND STOP LEANING ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.
